Forklifts are commonly seen in warehouses and industrial settings, but you can use it to transfer heavy furniture from an old home to a new residence. Forklifts can be of several types based on their structure.
This is again a narrow aisle forklift truck which is powered by electricity. It can easily lift heavy burdens up to a height that is 40 feet above the ground, but its main function is pallet storage. This truck is not ideal for lifting heavy loads across a long distance and then releasing that load quickly.
This is another extremely narrow aisle truck. It is used to lift both the operator and heavy goods like an order selector. It is similar to swing mast trucks in the sense that it can swing its blades up to 90 degrees, but in both directions. The swing mast truck can’t do that.
These fork lifts run on electrically powered batteries, so they do not emit pollution and help to conserve the environment. These machines are quieter, don’t burn fuel, have no need for fuel storage units and are free from polluting emissions. This makes them ideal for indoor use.
Internal Combustion Forklifts
These trucks run on CNG, diesel, liquid propane or gas and heavily pollute the environment. Internal combustion forklifts are ideal for lifting weights between 35,000 and 15,000 pounds. These are cheaper compared to electric forklifts and can work independently in a drenching downpour. Most of which are used in construction
These sturdy, huge trucks are warehouse staples and are useful for lifting and transferring loads ranging between 4000 and 3000 pounds. However, it can only lift goods up to a height of 20 feet from the ground.
